Visit the beach
Come rain or shine a visit to the beach will always bring a smile to the faces of those around you. Pile the whole family into the car, pack a picnic and make sure you’ve got some spare change for the ice cream van that will inevitably parked waiting to tempt you with Mr Whippy! You are at the beach after all…
Cook with the kids
A relaxed bank holiday weekend always allows for more time in the kitchen, so why not get the kids involved too? We’ve got lots of delicious recipes on our website to inspire any cook. We especially like our homemade pizzas, created especially for us by pizza connoisseurs Ffwrnes Pizza. Kids love getting stuck in making the dough and choosing their toppings, plus they are delicious when cooked!
Make a den in the garden
If the sun is shining, why not have a go at making a den or fort in the garden? Grab a couple of sheets, a washing line and a handful of cushions and you’ve got a den fit for your prince or princess. An outdoor den is also the perfect location for a tea party, a picnic or a games afternoon.

Potato printing is a great way to keep the kids entertained over a bank holiday weekend and a whole host of things can be made. Plant your own fruit & vegetables
It’s still not too late to try growing your own fruit and vegetables this year. Potatoes can be grown almost anywhere and are a brilliant place to start when thinking about growing your first crop.
